近日,我院龙志林教授课题组关于“基于随机离散单元法的单颗粒破碎行为模拟”的论文“Modeling the single particle crushing behavior by random discrete element method”在土木工程领域国际知名期刊《Construction and Building Materials》上接收发表,第一作者为我院青年教师旷杜敏博士,通讯作者为我院龙志林教授,威尼斯7798cc为第一完成单位及通讯单位。该成果是继《DEM study on the effect of pore characteristic on single particle crushing behavior of porous particles》(Kuang D M, Long Z L, Ogwu I, et al., Computers and Geotechnics, 2023, 165:105919)后,龙志林教授课题组针对脆性颗粒材料破碎行为研究方面的又一重要成果。
对于岩土工程材料而言,其宏观力学行为的变异性和内部微观结构特征的离散性紧密相关。然而,岩土工程材料的内部微观结构特征不仅存在离散性,同时还表现为一定的空间相关性,现有研究成果表明随机场理论可对岩土工程材料内部微观结构特征进行有效表征。对于岩土工程实践中所需的脆性颗粒类材料而言,其颗粒破碎强度的变异性以及颗粒破碎强度的尺寸效应均和其内部微观结构特征紧密相关。为实现的脆性颗粒材料破碎行为的精确模拟,进一步解释脆性颗粒破碎行为的细观机制,龙志林教授课题组尝试将随机场理论引入进离散元法中以实现对颗粒细观结构特征随机性和空间相关性的表征,并证实了该方法对模拟颗粒破碎强度变异性和颗粒破碎强度尺寸效应的有效性。
